Menthyl Lactate is derived from menthol but less irritating compared to menthol. It is recommended as a cooling agent to provide a lasting cooling effect.

It can be used in variety of personal care product, such as lip balm, facial mask, shaving cream, body washes, facial moisturizers, facial scrub, acne treatment and hair care products.
