INCI Name: Glyceryl Caprylate

HIDAL S-280 is a glycerin monoester of caprylic acid. It is especially useful for high quality skin care preparation as an antimicrobial agent with re-fatting, moisturizing and wetting agent properties. HIDAL S-280 has strong antimicrobial activities to Gram+, Gram- bacteria and yeast.

HlDAL S-280 can be easily used in emulsions, surfactant based products and hydroalcoholic products with a recommended use concentration of 0.3~1.0%.

It is also suitable as dispersant for active ingredients in anti-acne creams. HlDAL S-280 may be incorporated in the oil or water phase at any point during the emulsification process. For antimicrobial performance, a dosage of 0.8~1.0% is recommended.
